Bet of the day: Beverley, 16:45 - Back Copper And Five E/W @ 15/28.50

Course-and-distance winner Copper And Five is currently rated 6lb below his last winning mark and should be capable of making his presence felt for an in-form Ruth Carr yard under Joanna Mason, who partnered him to his latest victory at the track last year.

The experienced 10-year-old is making his 58th appearance in this extended mile contest, bidding for a seventh career win. He has proven this term that he still retains ability, running well twice at this venue during the spring including when narrowly denied by Coolree in a 14-runner handicap when rated 2lb higher.

Whilst he wasn't quite at his best at Thirsk when last seen, he could be worth keeping onside back in handicap company in familiar surroundings and holds solid claims if on a going day.

Windsor, 18:11 - Back The Feminine Urge E/W @ 33/134.00

From a mark of 57 under 3lb claiming Ashley Lewis, course winner The Feminine Urge holds each-way claims in this 6f spring, making appeal at the weights. She's currently 9lb below her last winning mark when successful for former trainer George Scott at Yarmouth last term, having previously won over 5f at this track for her previous yard.

Still seeking a first win for her current  trainer Grace Harris, the grey filly has gone close this year, making the frame on a number of occasions including when just beaten a neck by Duskaura at Lingfield in her penultimate outing at odds of 16/117.00. She's no stranger to outrunning her odds and could give a good account of herself in this contest.

Windsor, 18:41 - Back Great Chieftain E/W @ 13/27.50

On a comeback trail following a few disappointing efforts, Great Chieftain has dropped to a rating of 82, 7lb lower than his last winning mark, and could be capable of a resurgence as he drops in class.

He performed well from a much higher rating in warmer climes earlier this year, finishing in eighth and fifth respectively in two Meydan outings, and had emerged with some credit in handicaps won by Tribal Chief and Boiling Point last year when rated 93.

The Oliver Cole-trained contender hasn't been disgraced in his two latest outings, but he's capable of better and could pose a threat from a workable mark in this contest under Kaiya Fraser.

Windsor, 19:41 - Back City Of Poets @ 7/24.50

James Tate-trained City Of Poets makes appeal from a mark of 92 under Rob Hornby in the penultimate race on the card at Windsor this Thursday. He's only 1lb higher than when successful at Redcar in June and, although was unable to make an impression at Sandown when last seen, did have some excuses in his latest run and drops back down in class here.

Lightly raced making only his 12th career start, the four-year-old colt could still be capable of showing further progression and may be worth keeping onside. He's a talented performer on his day and the ceiling of his ability remains unknown.

Salisbury, 20:04 - Back Storm Point @ 11/26.50

In Salisbury's finale, a mile-and-a-quarter handicap, Storm Point is one to note in the hands of Kieran Shoemark for trainer Ed Walker as he bids for a third career win in his eighth appearance.

The gelded three-year-old son of Blue Point has shaped with potential during his career to date and already has two handicap wins to his name this year. He made a successful reappearance at Kempton from an opening mark of 69 on handicap debut in the spring, beating Lion Of Mali, who has franked the form twice since, by a length-and-a-quarter.

Storm Point was successful from a 4lb higher mark off 73 at Newbury subsequently, and, although couldn't double up at that venue when last seen, could be capable of a bold bid from a 5lb higher mark. It may be worth giving another chance to the promising performer who is yet to be fully exposed, and he could pose a threat in this contest as he bids to resume his progression.
