Wincanton, 15:33 - Back My Silver Lining @ 5/16.00

Course-and-distance winner My Silver Lining is 2lb lower than her previous success when winning the Classic Chase at Warwick two years ago, and should be able to hold her own from a lenient mark if she can bounce back from her Lingfield effort.

When last seen, the grey mare was pulled up in the early stages of the Surrey National having made a bad mistake, despite being the subject of market support, sent off at odds of 9/25.50.

A stiff test of stamina in softer conditions should suit and it could be worth giving her another chance considering she had previously finished third to Rock My Way at Ascot and second to Grande Gesta at Haydock in her previous runs this term.

Representing an in-form Emma Lavelle yard with her regular rider James Best in the saddle, My Silver Lining could prove worth keeping onside as she bids for a sixth win.

Thurles, 16:25 - Back Union Park E/W @ 14/115.00

Ten-year-old gelding Union Park is on a mark of 104 with 3lb claimer Tiernan Power Roche in the saddle, putting him in with a solid each-way chance at the weights. His previous win over hurdles was from a mark of 101, whilst he has been able to be competitive from a much higher mark over fences.

The son of Walk In The Park could take advantage of a rating 18lb lower than his chase mark on the back of a creditable fourth to Son Of Anarchy at Punchestown. He stayed on well that day to outrun his odds of 33/134.00, and, from an unchanged mark, could at least make the frame once again. The step up in trip could suit too, and he shouldn't be discounted in his 53rd career start.

Bahrain, 18:20 - Back Spangled Mac E/W @ SP

George Boughey-trained Spangled Mac couldn't win the Al Riffa Cup he had landed twelve months ago in his penultimate start over course-and-distance but put in a much improved effort when second to Blue Day the following week. He's effective over this 6f trip and has proven course-and-distance form, therefore holds leading claims for an in-form yard under Billy Loughnane.

The likeable seven-year-old has shown glimpses of good form over the past year since winning at this venue at the beginning of 2025. He was able to finish a creditable fifth to Army Ethos over an extra furlong at the track, and placed third behind Eternal Sunshine at Thirsk during the summer. He also made the frame at Southwell in his final start in Britain before returning to Bahrain, beaten only half-a-length by Betsen on that occasion.

There's plenty to like about the chances of Spangled Mac as he seeks his first win in just over a year. He has course form in his favour, and, on the back of a promising effort, should be able to make his presence felt with a favourable trip.

Chelmsford, 18:30 - Back Media Shooter E/W @ 22/123.00

Media Shooter has been dropped another 3lb on the back of his effort at Kempton in which he was slowly away, losing ground coming from the stalls. He was far from disgraced despite the slow start however, beaten only five-and-a-half-lengths.

In his previous two runs for James Owen, Media Shooter had failed to make any impression, unable to get into a position from which he could be competitive. He could be worth keeping onside considering he's now 1lb lower than his last win, and he shouldn't be discounted having proven himself from a higher rating previously.

In his final full year for his former trainer Karl Burke, the son of Advertise put in a number of competitive efforts including winning on three occasions as well as finishing a two-and-a-half-length fourth to Fire Demon, and when beaten four-lengths in fourth by James's Delight at York.

The five-year-old, who has three all-weather wins to his name, could be able to return to some form under Sean D Bowen and it may be too early to give up on a horse who does possess plenty of ability on a going day.
