Although it's over three years since Flaming Rib last entered the winners' enclosure, when successful in a Doha contest for former trainer Hugo Palmer, the seven-year-old, who was once rated as high as 113, has dropped to a lenient mark of 69 from which he can be competitive.

A high-flyer in his earlier days, the son of Ribchester isn't quite the force of old but he has proven he remains capable of being competitive on his day for current trainer Ado McGuinnes, finishing fourth at Dundalk last autumn before matching that position in a Down Royal handicap earlier this summer.

From a lenient rating, Flaming Rib could finally strike for an in-form yard under Adam Caffrey. He's a likeable performer on a going day and could make his presence felt in this field.

From a mark of 77, Tornado Kiss is one to note for Andrew Slattery in the 6f handicap at Navan. She's unexposed in handicaps having made only two appearances in this sphere, and is capable of better in only her eighth career start.

The daughter of Acclamation has finished fifth and fourth in respective Listed contests previously and should make her presence felt from her current rating if on a going day.

Stepping back up in trip, the three-year-old filly may be worth keeping onside and warrants consideration as she bids for a second career win.

Handicap debutante Downonmainstreet is an interesting contender from a mark of 73 in this 6f handicap for Michael Bell. She has shaped with promise in maiden and novice company so far, and her opening rating could be lenient on the back of a convincing three-length success at Chepstow.

The daughter of No Nay Never, who was purchased for 65,000gns as a yearling, is related to a number of black-type achievers and is out of Group One-winning mare Hooray. She's entitled to continue improving as she gains experience and could make a successful start in handicap company under David Egan.

Daniel James Murphy-trained Go Out could pose a threat from a mark of 63 with 7lb claiming Terry Casey in the saddle, making appeal at the weights. He finished a good third in a 14-runner Killarney claimer when last seen, and could give another good account of himself back in handicap company.

Previously, the four-year-old gelding has been competitive from a 10lb higher marka in this sphere on the all-weather, finishing a close second on two occasions to Dontspoilasale and Una Matata respectively at Dundalk. He hasn't been disgraced in a few handicaps on Turf either, and could put in a bold bid in this mile contest.

Top weight Loingseoir has been running well of late without winning but could finally return to the winners' enclosure from a mark of 69 in the hands of 5lb claiming Jack Cleary. He's a likeable performer who, despite being in the twilight stages of his racing career, has proven he still retains plenty of ability this season with a number of creditable efforts in big field handicaps. 

Currently only 3lb higher than when recording his last win, having run well from a higher mark since, the experienced 10-year-old could be worth keeping the faith in as he makes his 80th appearance, bidding for an eighth victory.

Fast Steps couldn't sustain his challenge from the front in a higher class contest when last seen, but could be worth keeping onside dropping in class and trip in this mile-and-a-quarter handicap.

Representing the Rod Millman yard in the hands of Charlie Tucker, who claims 7lb, easing his burden off top weight, the eight-year-old gelding makes appeal at the weights, 14lb lower than his last win.

He was in good form earlier this season, performing consistently well including when narrowly denied over course-and-distance to Solanna in June, and, with course experience, could strike once again and land a fifth career win.
