Navan, 14:50 - Back Colonel Mustard @ 10/111.00

Eleven-year-old veteran Colonel Mustard had been in the form of his life prior to a defeat at Ascot in the Long Walk Hurdle, when failing to see out the extended three mile trip, winning both of his first two runs of the term, including when beating The Yellow Clay in a Navan Grade Two. He should be suited by this drop in trip on softer conditions, and has course form over a couple of furlongs shorter already this term.

A formidable contender on his day, the Lorna Fowler-trained gelding has shown he still possesses plenty of ability. He should be able to make his presence felt in the field and bounce back from his Ascot run by returning to form under John Shinnick, who retains the ride.

Navan, 15:50 - Back Gold Dancer @ 11/43.75

Purchased for €250,000 prior to joining Willie Mullins from France, where he landed a Compiegne hurdling contest, Gold Dancer could have further improvement to come in only his seventh chasing start.

Three from six so far, with two runner-up efforts to his name too, the seven-year-old has chased home the likes of Romeo Coolio and Final Demand in Grade One company this term, emerging with credit against tough opposition. He had previously landed successive Grade Three events at Galway and Tipperary respectively.

Representing Willie Mullins under Paul Townend, Gold Dancer could be suited by this step up in distance. He's a half-brother to Al Dancer, who won the Badger Beer over 3m1f in his final start, and Tzar's Dancer, who finished fourth in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris.

The highest-rated in the field dropping in grade, Gold Dancer makes the most appeal and should be capable of posing a threat.
