Horse Racing Tips: Katie Midwinter's best bets on Monday including Listowel Harvest Festival fancies

Leicester, 14:31 - Back Seed Ya Later E/W @ 12/113.00

Jack Channon-trained filly Seed Ya Later could make her presence felt from a mark of 66 in this competitive nursery. She has amassed some valuable experience so far this year, including when winning her maiden at Musselburgh, and put in an eye-catching effort in defeat when third to Downonmainstreet at Ffos Las in her latest outing.

From a workable mark under in-form rider Callum Rodriguez, the Bungle Inthejungle filly could return to the winners' enclosure. She has put in a few creditable efforts already this season and there could be more to come from her.

Hamilton, 14:47 - Back Thequietman E/W @ 50/151.00

Making his first appearance for Simon Waugh in the hands of 3lb claiming Amie Waugh, Thequietman could put in a creditable effort from a mark of 66. He had shown good form for Joseph O'Brien previously before switching yards to be trained by David O'Meara, putting in a decent effort on debut for his previous trainer in a Southwell novice event, but failing to build on that opening run in his subsequent outings.

Pulled up when last seen in June, it's possible the five-year-old could improve for this return to action, however, he has run well when fresh in the past and appears on a workable rating stepping up in distance, therefore shouldn't be discounted.

Listowel, 14:55 - Back Dragon Of Malta E/W @ 13/27.50

Likeable gelding Dragon Of Malta recorded two successive wins at this meeting last year, and is usually one to note when the Listowel Harvest Festival comes around. He's currently back on his last winning mark of 73 with Julian Pietropaolo claiming 7lb in the saddle once again, putting him in with a strong chance of landing another win at this venue for Pat O'Donnell.

Bidding for an eighth win in his 68th start, the experienced nine-year-old could be worth keeping onside. He has run well in all of his latest three outings during the summer months, proving he still retains ability, and, from a workable mark, should make his presence felt in familiar surroundings.

Listowel, 14:55 - Back Resurgence @ 3/14.00

With a completely different profile to Dragon Of Malta, handicap debutant Resurgence makes only his fourth career start for Jessica Harrington in this contest but is an intriguing contender from an opening mark of 81. He made an encouraging return to action when narrowly denied by Chapel Lane in a Navan maiden earlier this month, off the back of a gelding operation and 351-day absence.

During his debut campaign last term, the son of Too Darn Hot featured twice in maidens won the Thread Of Gold and Port Of Spain respectively, finishing in second and fourth whilst shaping with promise. There could be more to come from him and, entitled to take a step forward from his latest appearance, may show progression beyond his current rating.

Hamilton, 15:22 - Back Sir Yoshi @ 7/24.50

Geoffrey Harker-trained gelding Sir Yoshi is well-treated from a mark of 86 on the best of his form, with capable claimer Jake Dickson claiming 5lb in the saddle further easing his weight. He's bidding for a first success for his current trainer having previously performed well on multiple occasions for former trainer David Marnane, including in Stakes company.

This season, the four-year-old son of Mehmas has shown he still retains ability and this could be a feasible opportunity for him to return to the winners' enclosure.

Fairyhouse, 16:25 - Back River Trieux @ 9/25.50

Three-year-old filly River Trieux could make it third time lucky for Paddy Twomey in this 7f contest. She has shaped with promise in two starts to date, improving plenty on an encouraging debut effort at Roscommon when a good second to Enigma Code at Cork recently.

If able to take another step forward as she gains further experience, the daughter of Havana Grey should be capable of getting off the mark and may be worth keeping onside under Billy Lee dropping back down in trip.

Fairyhouse, 17:57 - Back Where Love Lives @ 16/117.00

In this Listed 6f juvenile contest, Where Love Lives makes the most appeal for Donnacha O'Brien and Gavin Ryan. He has noteworthy form from earlier in the campaign when trained by Kevin Ryan, with two successes over the likes of Hickory Lad and Adaay Of Scarlett, including in Listed company at Sandown, on his record.

Although he hasn't really threatened in three starts since, he hasn't been disgraced in tough Group races and, dropping in grade here, could make his presence felt by putting in a bold bid. The Cotai Glory colt has shown ability and, at this level, could return to winning ways.
