Leicester, 15:22 - Back Thunderous Love E/W @ 9/110.00

On her reappearance following a 201-day absence, five-year-old mare Thunderous Love could put in a bold bid under Rob Hornby. She won on her return to action following a break last April, recording successive wins for Jonathan Portman, enjoying a fruitful campaign whilst rising up in the weights.

Having enjoyed plenty of success last year, proving progressive, the daughter of Lightning Spear could continue her upward trajectory only 3lb higher rated than her previous win. She put in an excellent effort behind Thunder Blue from her current mark of 73 in her penultimate start in a higher class contest, and if able to return to that level of form should be able to pose a threat.

With excuses to be made for her latest run at Goodwood, having been in generally consistent form throughout the year prior to that outing, Thunderous Love, who is bidding for a seventh win, makes appeal, particularly considering she has won when fresh in the past.

Leicester, 15:52 - Back The Coffee Pod E/W @ 11/112.00

Making his first appearance for the William Muir and Chris Grassick team on his reappearance, having left the Richard Hannon yard and previous connections, The Coffee Pod is an interesting contender in a first-time hood. He's now 6lb lower than his last winning mark, stepping back up to 6f on a sounder surface which could allow him to show improvement and perform well on his return following a 223-day break.

Holding each-way claims under Lewis Edmunds, the five-year-old son of Acclamation is on a workable mark from which he can be competitive if ready to go following a break. He has excuses for his latest run at Goodwood in September, and could be able to get back on track in this contest, capable of making the frame on a going day.
