Course-and-distance winner Pink Oxalis makes each-way appeal from a mark of 85 under 5lb claiming Patrick McGettigan. She's back on her last winning mark, when successful in a 20-runner handicap here last autumn, and, although she hasn't been able to return to the winners' enclosure so far this year, she has performed with credit on occasion.
Earlier in the season, the five-year-old finished a length third to Rion Rubette when rated 5lb higher, outrunning odds of 14/115.00 on that occasion. She also finished a length-and-a-quarter second in another handicap during the summer, and hasn't been beaten far in any of her latest three runs despite failing to make the frame.
Pink Oxalis could be worth keeping the faith in following a number of promising efforts and from her current mark.

Second in the race last year when sent off as the 11/26.50 favourite from a 1lb lower mark, Weveallbeencaught could go one place better twelve months on. He hasn't been able to threaten in three subsequent runs, and does lack a recent outing coming into this year's renewal, but is a capable performer on his day with proven form in this contest.
A promising staying prospect earlier in his career for Nigel Twiston-Davies, before joining Christian Williams for a spell, Weveallbeencaught made a good start for current trainer Eric McNamara. He has the ability to win a race of this nature should things pan out favourably for him, and may go one position better in the hands of Danny Mullins this time around.

Six-year-old mare Max Of Stars is one to note for Ollie Pears and Jamie Hamilton in this 2m1f handicap hurdle. In the penultimate race on the card at Sedgefield, she could return to form having run well here in her penultimate start behind Pergamon when a length-and-a-quarter second.
Currently 3lb lower than her last winning mark, when successful at Wetherby last autumn, Max Of Stars could bounce back from a disappointing effort at Southwell when last seen. If able to show significant improvement on that outing, she could make her presence felt in this field having shown good form at this time of year in the past.
