Big Hitter has a precocious pedigree - dam a two-year-old winner - and she showed plenty when finishing runner-up to a speedily-bred newcomer on her debut at Chepstow last month, pulling clear of the remainder.
She was tighter in the market next time as a result and, while she didn't necessarily improve on that initial effort, she still shaped with plenty of promise, seeing out the six-furlong trip well enough, but headed in the final strides.
Big Hitter quickened up best of all initially, suggesting that she's been well placed back over the minimum trip and, with further improvement forthcoming - she has the 'Timeform small p' attached to her rating - she should be hard to beat in this field as she already sets a solid standard.

Sarangpur showed fair form when trained in Ireland, but he's proved a different problem since joining Richard Hughes, making a winning start in some style at Brighton last month, overcoming some trouble and readily drawing clear.
He was wisely turned out under a penalty 10 days later and again shaped like a horse a long way ahead of his mark, again tanking along, leading on the bridle two furlongs out and soon moving clear, his jockey easing him at the finish.
Sarangpur is effectively 10lb higher turned out under another penalty, but he still appeals as being well treated, and it is hard to see why he can't complete a hat-trick provided he's just as effective on all-weather.

Ataturk is from a good staying family and was seemingly brought along with handicaps in mind, not cutting much ice in his three qualifying runs, and was much shorter in the betting on handicap debut at Ffos Las recently.
He duly proved a different proposition, too, as expected he was well suited by the step up to a mile-and-a-half, while also benefitting a more attacking ride.
Ataturk was probably made too much use of on that occasion, kicking on for home over two furlongs out and only just edged out on the line. That was a very encouraging run, however, and he's just the sort to go on improving, so makes plenty of appeal racing from the same mark.
