Saint Segal was a fairly useful juvenile hurdler last season but he has quickly developed into a much better chaser this term, coping really well with a soundly-run race courtesy of some neat jumping at Chepstow in November, and taking another step forward when following up at Hereford in January.
He started favourite for a competitive handicap at Doncaster last time and would have likely maintained his unbeaten record in this sphere if not conceding first run to the winner, staying on strongly from the second-last but just failing. Saint Segal is just 2 lb higher now back in a smaller field and he should have more to offer as a chaser.

Stellar Stream shaped like a stayer on his hurdling debut over two and a half miles at Ffos Las in January, outpaced on the home turn and merely plugging on in the closing stages.
He confirmed that promise upped five and a half furlongs in trip when opening his account at Hereford last month, quickening to lead in good style from three out and he was well in command some way from home. Admittedly, that wasn't a strong race, but it was hard not to be impressed by the manner of his victory, and he may have been let into handicaps lightly from a mark of 106.
