Race 5 20:25 Saratoga - Herald Angel
Herald Angel is my idea of the winner of this State bred Maiden Special Weight on the turf.
This filly created a favourable impression on debut when finishing second in a similar race over five and a half furlongs. She made a three-wide move on the home turn and finished strongly without troubling the winner. She is crying out for this longer trip, and is entitled to take a big step forward. The Mike Maker stable has had a fantastic meeting and maintains a 21% strike rate. I think she will go close and should be backed at her Morning Line price of 3.55/2.

Race 6 22:06 Saratoga - Spin a Yarn
Spin a Yarn is taken to win this intriguing State bred Stakes race on the main track.
This filly is unbeaten in four starts at Finger Lakes. On her latest start she never came off the bridle when defeating an allowance field. In truth she did not beat much but could hardly have been more impressive. The water is much deeper today, but trainer Christopher Progno has decided to take a shot with this progressive individual. At present she is trading at 4.03/1 on the exchange but recommend backing her at BSP.
