Chocolate Bar a tasty choice
Race 2 18:44 Saratoga - Chocolate Bar
Chocolate Bar should open his account in this $40k maiden claimer on the turf.
In put him up in a similar race on Wednesday, but was a late scratch. As previously stated he disappointed in a warm Maiden Special Weight at Keenland last month. He came under pressure half a mile out, and finished well beaten. He ran as is something was amiss, and this run is best forgotten. He is best judged on his previous effort when finishing a close fourth at Churchill Downs ,which reads well in the context of this race. Trainer Mike Maker takes the blinkers off and has engaged the services of Jose Ortiz, who is having a great meeting. This is a competitive claimer so recommend backing him at BSP.
Ricetta to make a splash
Race 9 22:46 Saratoga - Ricetta
I am going to side with US debutant Ricetta in this $500k Stakes race on the turf.
This Camelot filly finished third to Rose Of Kildare in the Musidora at York last month. She raced keenly throughout, and did not find a great deal when popped the question by Dettori. She had previously won a maiden and a novice stakes in great style at HQ. She makes her debut for trainer Bill Mott who excels with these types, and has a long standing arrangement with owners Juddmonte. I think she is open to further improvement, and will benefit from the expected fast pace. She should be backed at her Morning Line of 5.59/2.
Recommended bets

If race is taken off the turf the advice is no bet
