I like the chances of A Great Time in this Stakes race on the turf.

This mare put in a much-improved effort when finishing third in a Stakes race at Belmont Park last month. She chased the leaders in to the home straight and ran on well in the closing stages. This was her best effort for some time, and hopefully can move forward in this competitive race. Both her wins have been at the five and a half distance, and top rider John Velasquez rides back for connections. She should be a decent price so recommend backing her at BSP.

Texas Swing to deliver

Texas Swing should prove difficult to beat in this allowance race on the main track.

This talented colt finished third to King Guillermo in the Tampa Bay Derby in March. He held every chance in the straight but was soon left behind by the impressive winner. King Guillermo went on to finish second in the Arkansas Derby, and is a lively outsider for the Kentucky Derby next week. Trainer Todd Pletcher has given him a nice break and is set for a productive Autumn campaign. He should take this before moving back in to Graded Stakes company. At present he is trading at 2.8815/8 and have backed him at that price.
