Hazard shaped encouragingly when fifth on his reappearance at Tipperary, putting in some good late work under mainly hands-and-heels riding. He was beaten two and three quarter lengths and didn't quite match the form he showed when fourth on his debut at this course last season, but he was entitled to need the run after 12 months on the sidelines. His debut effort is amongst the best form on offer here, so he looks a good bet to get off the mark at the third attempt, especially as further improvement is not out of the question.

Jesse Evans - 16:15 Navan

All eyes will be on the dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll as he makes his reappearance in this Flat maiden, but it's Jesse Evans who appeals as the most likely winner under Colin Keane. Jesse Evans won a bumper at Listowel in September before following up on his hurdling debut at Gowran Park 11 days later, again showing plenty of speed on the last occasion to win by eight lengths in impressive fashion. An exciting prospect for novice hurdling this winter, he possesses the necessary tools to win a race such as this and can bring up the hat-trick in a maiden where those with previous form on the Flat set only a fairly useful standard.

Make Good - 16:50 Navan

Make Good has caught the eye on his last couple of starts on the Flat, including when fourth at Limerick two weeks ago. He was outpaced at a crucial stage of that race but ran on late, leaving the impression that he'll be suited by stepping back up to a mile and three quarters. He gets the opportunity to tackle that longer trip today and is well worth another to prove himself on a fair mark, with the application of first-time cheekpieces and the booking of Shane Foley also giving cause for optimism.
