Ffion lost her unbeaten record when making her handicap debut over this course and distance two weeks ago, but she still showed improved form to emerge as the best of the rest behind the impressive Boardman, who advertised the strength of that form when following up under a penalty at York last week. Still relatively unexposed, Ffion can race from the same mark here and looks sure to give another good account in conditions which clearly play to her strengths.
Headingley probably should have won when second on his handicap debut at Goodwood last month, passing the post just a length behind the winner despite hanging badly left in the final furlong. He had shown no quirks prior to that so is best given the benefit of the doubt, the idiosyncratic track a logical place to start when looking for excuses. There is no doubt he remains potentially well treated from only 3 lb higher in the weights than last time, especially when you factor in his scope for further progress.
Keep Busy showed smart form during the second half of last season, producing her best effort when filling the runner-up spot behind Glass Slippers in the Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh. That form puts her right in the mix in this Group 2, while the fact she is proven on heavy going and has gone well fresh in the past gives cause for further optimism. With the booking of champion jockey Oisin Murphy also catching the eye, Keep Busy is fancied to make a winning reappearance and can follow in the footsteps of her dam Look Busy, who won this race back in 2009.
