Night Narcissus will attempt to do likewise in this novice and rates very much the one to beat according to Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, with further improvement also likely with that initial experience under her belt.

Juan les Pins - 18:40 Kempton

Juan les Pins is putting together a good record at Kempton, with his best performances to date all coming at this track. His first success came over this C&D in September, keeping on well to land the spoils by half a length, and he took another step forward despite finding one too good over seven furlongs here last time. He tanked through that race and was only pegged back late on by one who raced more efficiently, leaving the impression a strongly-run six furlongs will prove to be his optimum conditions. He should get that here and is a confident selection from only 3 lb higher in the weights.

Culture was backed at long odds and proved at least as good as ever in a first-time visor to resume winning ways at this venue two weeks ago, asserting in the final furlong to win by a length and a quarter. That was his all-weather debut and he clearly took to the surface well, strongly suggesting that he may yet have even more to offer, especially now stepping up further in trip. With that in mind, he remains potentially well treated from only 6 lb higher and is fancied to mount a bold follow-up bid under Adam Kirby.
