Grain d'Oudairies showed promise on his only start in bumpers and was all the rage in the betting on his return and hurdling debut at Bangor in November last year.
He duly made a winning start in this sphere and looked a good prospect in doing so, and he is better than he is able to show when only fourth on his final start at Carlisle in April where he was far too keen.
The feeling is the handicapper has let him in lightly on his handicap debut and, on his return from another break, he is a horse to remain positive about.

This looks a good race on paper with some smart hurdlers now making their chase debut and preference is for Good Risk At All.
He reached a high level in bumpers and was impressive winning wining a couple of starts over hurdles, for all he didn't finish last season in top form.
However, he looks very interesting now having his attention switched to fences, representing a yard that does well with such types and one who can get one ready after a break.
