Horse Racing Tips: Burke and Beckett provide the 43/1 Tuesday double

Lingfield - 18:00 - Back Starlust

The racing on Tuesday mostly consists of fairly low-grade handicaps, give or take a couple at Leicester, so I am keen on the 2yo races and the 18:00 at Lingfield over 6f has a pair of newcomers from big yards.

The favourite is Packard for Richard Hannon, but like most Amo 2yos, the price is hardly a gift at 5/42.25 and while he showed more than enough on debut at Goodwood to win a race, I am happy taking a chance on the 7/18.00 with a Ralph Beckett 2yo.

Starlust only cost 55,000 gns but there's plenty of speed in the pedigree with a fast dam who won on debut at Goodwood in 2009 over 6f. The dam Beyond Desire has also produced three individual winners from her five runners - all at 5f or 6f.

Zoustar has also created a good impression as a stallion, although he's without a winner at Lingfield but four have placed at 25%.

Beckett is 4-15 at 27% with his 2yo runners on the turf this term and at the price, and with 10 runners, is worth the each-way angle.

Wetherby - 18:45 - Back Rocket Money

I wouldn't have too many bets at Wetherby, but Karl Burke has a 2yo running tonight and Rocket Money is another with a 2yo pedigree. And she has been backed on the Sportsbook into 9/25.50.

She makes her debut in the 18:45 5f Maiden and is out of a dam who has produced just one runner so far - and a winner on first start.

Her trainer Karl Burke has sent out 40 2yo runners this term on the turf and has scored with 11 of them, although the yard haven't enjoyed the best of strike-rates at Wetherby.

Hug A Tree heads the market for Michael Bell at 11/43.75 but the Bell yard are very quiet at the moment and are without a winner from their last 18 runners.

We do have the nine runners once again for an each-way selection (just at 9/25.50 and those with experience in the race look beatable.
