Leg #1 - 13:57, Cartmel: Cinating to Win @ 1/21.50
Cinating ought to take plenty of catching if replicating her Roscommon maiden hurdle win last time. She made all of the running that day, and despite showing signs of inexperience (only her second hurdle start), ranks as the definite one to beat, in a race which looks fairly uncompetitive.
Leg #2 - 15:20, Curragh: Purview to Win @ 4/61.67
Purview holds obvious appeal as a thoroughly progressive individual. The son of Kingman won consecutive Listed races, with a six-length demolition of his rivals over 1m4f at this venue last time. The drop to 1m2f doesn't concern me as he's shown plenty of pace previously, and he is firmly on the upgrade. I envisage him landing this valuable prize to continue his upward trajectory.
Leg #3 - 15:47, Wolverhampton: The Craftymaster to Finish Top 3 @ 1/31.33
The Craftymaster must be seriously considered for win purposes, but the safer option is to back him to finish among the placers. The six-year-old is 6lb above his last winning mark but has scored from a much higher rating in the past. He brings a wealth of all-weather experience, as a nine-time winner, and he has won at this venue. His young jockey arrives in form, too, having won a couple of races in the previous fortnight.
Leg #4 - 15:55, Curragh: Duckadilly to Finish Top 3 @ 5/42.25
Duckadilly arrives as a mare in form following her determined Naas success over a mile at this Listed level. She clearly had improved from her solid run in a higher grade on reappearance. With the ceiling of her ability yet to be fully revealed, I suggest backing her to place, in what isn't the strongest of races, at this standard. I feel that the likely favourite, Alcantor, is worth taking on, as this will be the quickest ground he has encountered and has often flattered to deceive when a short-priced runner.
