"Three wide into the home straight, he eventually flew home to go down by a few lengths, with the winner Comeatchoo receiving a very good front running ride."
Alan Dudman found a big price winner yesterday at a BSP of 14.37 - his second in two days. He has two selections to back for Wednesday's action at Wolverhampton...
Maybe seeking the big time at Wolves
19:45 Wolverhampton - Back Big Time Maybe @ BSP
We managed to hit the target yesterday with the most impressive Indigo Times bolting up at Southwell - and a decent BSP to boot at 14.37. For good measure there was another second to add to the collection with Another Angel, but we'd rather have the big price winning.
Wednesday's action is somewhat threadbare so it's Wolverhampton for the evening as the diet of all-weather racing continues.
The final two 6f races are under the microscope with two eyecatchers. First up is Big Time Maybe, who once again went into the mythical notebook with a running-on effort last time out. A ragged start didn't aid his cause, and he raced with the choke out too. He picked up well though over the 5f and motored home with a rattling run.
The move up to 6f finally is coming tonight, and he's seriously well treated from 57, although granted, the last time he won a race was a long time ago. But he was rated 65 back in November and he's now down to 57.
I see the six furlongs as a major plus. I've ignored Charles Le Brun in this race as he has been turned over a couple of times at shorter prices. Incidentally, his namesake declared himself the "greatest French painter of all time". That's modesty.
Potion deserves another chance after luckless effort
20:15 Wolverhampton - Back Secret Potion @ BSP
I picked Secret Potion last time out over Wolverhampton's 6f, and whilst he wouldn't have won, there was enough to suggest a win might not be too far away.
He's an habitual slow starter and he was up to his old tricks again in that contest, conceding six lengths as Davy Probert rousted him along from the stalls. The jockey certainly had a good arm workout in the opening seconds.
Three wide into the home straight, he eventually flew home to go down by a few lengths, with the winner Comeatchoo receiving a very good front running ride.
The selection has been lowered another 1lb and is down to an attractive 57. Hell be a decent price too. I'm not too worried about his wide draw in 10 as he'll be dropped in anyway. He just needs a little lady luck in the run.
