Greens in regulation a significant stat at Bay Hill
Week two in Florida and the PGA Tour has arrived in Orlando to stage the fourth 'Elite' event of 2023.
With another $20m purse up for grabs, the field for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational will, once again, be full of quality.
Twenty-three of the world's top 25 are in attendance, with just a week remaining before golf's leading stars head for TPC Sawgrass and The Players Championship.
Bay Hill, which opened in 1962, is one of golf's most respected venues.
In 1974 it became the property of seven-time major winner Arnold Palmer, and five years later made its debut on the PGA Tour calendar.
Since then the tournament has been ever-present on the schedule, with this year's instalment being the 45th.

Course Characteristics
Bay Hill is neither short of sand, nor lacking in water, and used to be a layout which favoured the big hitters.
The late Arnold Palmer made a number of changes to the course in both 2009 and 2015, with the aim of encouraging attacking golf.
He increased the number of potential pin positions, after redesigning all 18 putting surfaces.
Palmer, who died in 2016, was keen to create a venue that provided plenty of risk/reward opportunities.
During this upgrade he moved fairway bunkers further from tees, while extending greenside sand closer to the edges of putting surfaces.
He also made the sand more visible from tees and fairways, in order to encourage the bold and the brave.
In the second of these renovations he widened fairways and reduced the size and density of the rough.
Large water hazards come into play on eight holes, while there are a handful of interesting dog legs too.
The various changes upped Bay Hill's total par from 71 to 72 and, more recently, the Bermuda grass greens have all been re-surfaced.
This parkland course is located around eight miles south-west of downtown Orlando, close to Florida's Butler Lake.
Bay Hill is a course which tends to get tougher the closer a golfer gets to the green.
Hitting fairways is generally not overcomplicated, but finding the putting surfaces is certainly more problematic.
This course is often seen as a bellwether event for the Masters - more so than TPC Sawgrass, home of next week's Players Championship.

Five To Watch
Jason Day: The 35-year-old has shown some encouraging form this year, and has already risen more than 50 places up the World Ranking to No 47 - since the start of 2023. A former world No 1, and the 2016 winner at Bay Hill, his last three outings have yielded finishes of 9th-5th-7th.
Matt Fitzpatrick: The reigning US Open champion has made a slow start to 2023, although Bay Hill could be the perfect venue for the Englishman to find some decent form. His last four starts have all yielded top-10 finishes, including runner-up in 2019.
Viktor Hovland: Has played solidly of late without getting himself into contention over the closing few holes. Runner-up here 12 months ago.
Rory McIlroy: Another player with a strong Bay Hill record, and a former champion. Is seeking his second victory of 2023.
Will Zalatoris: Finished fourth on his most recent outing at Riviera, which is another layout that requires good course management, solid ball striking and plenty of greens hit in regulation.
