Mauritius Open 2025 - Contenders based on current form
Jayden Trey Schaper @ 9/110.00
The South African is the favourite to win in Mauritius and it is easy to see why. He won last week's Alfred Dunhill Championship after finishing as the runner up at the previous week's Nedbank Challenger. It's fair to say Schaper is in great shape and, what's more, he finished sixth here two years ago.
Eugenio Chacarra @ 25/126.00
A third placed finish at the Alfred Dunhill did not come out of nowhere for the Spaniard. He was in the top 30 at the Nedbank and, on his previous two appearances, performed respectably to record consecutive top 40 finishes. But last week will have given the 25-year-old the self-belief that he can challenge at the top of the leaderboard.
Michael Hollick @ 70/171.00
Hollick was in the top 10 last week when playing in his native South Africa at the Alfred Dunhill. Before that, he was fourth at the Nedbank. He has not played at this tournament previously, so is an unknown quantity on this course.
Mauritius 2025 - Contenders based on course form
John Parry @ 16/117.00
As last year's champion, Parry would almost be an automatic pick this week, but the fact that he arrives for his title defence in good form is even better. He was seventh in Johannesburg last week and in the top 20 prior to that at the Nedbank. What's not to like about his chances of retaining the title? Very little.
Daniel Brown 18/119.00
We last saw the Englishman when he finished 45th at the DP World Tour Championship. Not long before, however, he finished second at the Spanish Open. In between, he was 17th in Abu Dhabi, and he tops the list for points accumulated since July. Best of all perhaps, Brown was third here in 2023 and looks a prime candidate to follow Parry and make it consecutive English winners in Mauritius.
Jeff Winther 50/151.00
The Dane gets the nod at a big price thanks to his 11th place finish here two years ago. He was 23rd at the Alfred Dunhill last week, so looks pretty sharp, and 22nd at the Spanish Open in October.
