Western Sydney should at least have a goal or two to celebrate on Sunday morning

Another double success to report since our last column. First, early yesterday morning, Sydney FC beat Brisbane Roar 2-0 to deliver an odds-against winner. Then, early this morning, Central Coast and Melbourne City drew 2-2 to hand us a fifth straight win of the week.

We've already been to Australia three times this week, but the going's good and there ain't much else on the cards today, so we're hanging around for a fourth A-League match. Sunday morning takes our old friends Perth Glory to Western Sydney.

Kenny Lowe's Glory have been delivering high scorers for months. Since the middle of last season, they've seen goals at both ends in 12/15 away games. This term, their first encounter with Western Sydney finished 2-2, making it 6/7 head-to-heads with goals at both ends.

On home turf, Tony Popovic's hosts have been shut out only by the A-League's current top two. Both sides have scored in each of their four other home games and that's the bet with which we're hoping to usher in a very happy new year.

Enjoy the party.
