St Mirren v Raith
Tuesday 19:45
The Beasts got the better of the Wolves in Italy yesterday. The game turned on Avellino missing a penalty just before half-time. Or at least we hope it did. Otherwise Ternana dominated from first whistle to final, and we were even more wrong than we thought we were.
We're headed north today for what we hope will be a minor classic in the Scottish Championship this evening.
In their last three league games, St Mirren have scored eight times and conceded seven. Since the start of term, Alex Rae's Buddies have conceded in 11/14 at St Mirren Park. At the other end, only the current top two in the table (Rangers and Falkirk) have shut out their hosts.
Raith Rovers are tonight's visitors. Ray McKinnon's men have notched just one clean sheet in 13 on the road this season, so there can be little doubt the net will bulge in at least one end this evening. With Raith scoring themselves in 7/10 on their travels recently, our bet is that, at some point, it will bulge at the other end too.
