Rio Ave v Porto
Friday 20:30
In Russia yesterday, Yenisey Krasnoyarsk beat FC Orenburg 2-1 to keep their slim hopes of survival alive. But props too to the visitors, who had a man sent off but still managed to find the goal that brought home our BTTS bet.
Today we're in Portugal for the Friday-night Primeira Liga game between eighth-placed Rio Ave and second-placed Porto. With four games to go, Porto are level on points with league leaders Benfica and need to keep winning. They have a fine head-to-head record against Rio Ave (W10-D1-L0 home and away since 2013) but it's the goals markets that have caught our eye.
Despite their appalling record in this fixture, Rio Ave have scored in 8/11 meetings, including all five at Estadio do Rio Ave. This season, Daniel Ramos's men have scored in 13/15 home matches. Hosting teams currently alongside them in the top half of the table, their results read: 2-1, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 2-2 and 1-3. In total, both teams have scored in 12/15.
Sergio Conceicao's men have won four in a row away from home, scoring at least twice every time. They are an impressive W11-D3-L1 on the road since the start of term, but have often conceded on trips to top-half teams. They've managed clean sheets in just 2/7 of those matches and we're delighted to accept the odds-against price on both teams to score tonight.
