Real Betis v Malaga
Monday 20:00 (Live on Sky Sports Football)
Kev's faith was repaid as Rosenborg beat Stromsgodset 1-0 in Norway yesterday to crown a mighty fine week. However, it wasn't the Lord Bendtner himself taking the glory last night. It was the relatively unheralded Mike Jensen who earned a place in Kev's own personal heaven with the game's only goal.
We aspire to similar heights ourselves this week, which begins in Spain. Real Betis have exceeded expectations this season and, with three games to go after this one, should finish fifth or sixth. Malaga, in contrast, have spent the entire season in the wrong half of the table. They went bottom in January and have stayed there ever since. Relegation is assured and, with a W1-D2-L14 away record, we don't think they'll enjoy the trip to local-ish rivals Betis tonight.
Betis won the reverse fixture 2-0 and, last season, won this fixture 1-0. Quique Setien's men have recently notched six consecutive clean sheets at home and away - including three straight Wins to Nil hosting bottom-half opposition at the Benito Villamarin.
With Malaga failing to score in 12/17 away trips so far this term - including 11/14 defeats - we're backing the hosts to match a clean sheet to three points and leave their hapless visitors with another big, fat zero.
