Football Bet of the Day: Defences to creak on Crete

Greece is still the place to be today

OFI v Atromitos
Thursday 15:15

A minor tragedy in Greece yesterday as Panaitolikos lost 0-1 at home to Panathinaikos and failed to deliver our BTTS bet. However, there are another couple of Super League games this afternoon and we're hoping one of them will put us back on track.

In their first season back in the top flight, OFI Crete are third bottom. At Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium, however, they have been competitive. Since losing their first two home games to the sides now first and third in the table, they are W3-D2-L1, despite mainly hosting teams currently in the top half. Across their last four matches, they have scored eight times, while managing just a single clean sheet.

Fourth-placed Atromitos are favourites for this afternoon's game, despite losing each of their last three on the road. In spite of that recent run, they have scored in 7/8 this term and 20/23 since the start of last term. At the other end, they've managed just a couple of clean sheets this season and we fancy OFI can once again make life tricky for their visitors.
