Mexico v Ecuador
Friday 22:00

Peru 1 Venezuela 0 in Chile last night.

We're hoping Mexico and Ecuador will make it up to us tonight.

Group B's second round of group matches produced 11 goals as Mexico matched Copa America hosts Chile in a 3-3 draw and Ecuador came back strongly but ultimately lost 3-2 to Bolivia.

Those results mean that Ecuador are pointless while Mexico, after two draws, are two points behind joint-top Chile and Bolivia. A win in this match could even see Mexico top Group A, while a draw would leave them waiting on results from other groups before finding out if they were one of the tournament's two best third-placed sides.

So there's a big incentive for Miguel Herrera to send his team out on the front foot.

In the other changing room, Gustavo Quinteros has nothing to lose, and a win would see Ecuador go third and give his men a chance of sneaking into the quarter-finals. Unable to rely on a defence that has conceded five times in its two outings so far, he should be as aggressive as his counterpart.

With Ecuador scoring themselves in 7/10 games since last summer's World Cup, we expect both nets to ripple at least once.
