Football Bet of the Day: Hungary to go without goals tonight

Hungary could be left red faced by the Faroe Islands tonight

"Hungary's last seven Euro 2016 qualifiers have produced a not-so-grand total of just seven goals. On home turf, their two outings so far in 2015 have finished goalless"

There'll be no feasting on the Faroes in Budapest this evening, says Tobias Gourlay

New York Red Bulls 2 Montreal Impact 1 in the MLS last night. That's a sixth straight winner for the column that never sleeps.

Today we've made it to eastern Europe, and we're not really sure why we've bothered.

Hungary's last seven Euro 2016 qualifiers have produced a not-so-grand total of just seven goals. On home turf, their two outings so far in 2015 have finished goalless.

You might think the Faroe Islands are just the team to kickstart the Magyars. That might not be so true these days: the Scandinavians have allowed just four goals in four away qualifiers to date - a record that includes a notable 1-0 win for them in Greece just under a year ago.

The reverse fixture finished just 1-0 in favour of the favourites and tonight's clash could be similarly close.
