Guatemala could beat Cuba with their hands tied behind their back

"In the last two years, eight of the Lions' 10 losses have been by margins of at least two goals"

Back Guatemala -1.5 on the Asian Handicap @ 2.447/5 v Cuba

Tobias Gourlay does not even expect Guatemala's Gold Cup clash with Cuba to be that close

Jamaica 1 El Salvador 0 in the Gold Cup last night.

Which means a little bit of gold for us to reinvest in one of tonight's Group C games.

The top two, Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago, meet in the late kick-off but are both safely through. Cuba and Guatemala, however, have everything to play for. A win for either side would take them through to the quarter-finals as (at worst) one of the competition's two best third-placed teams.

The problem, of course, is that neither of them is much used to winning. Indeed, Guatemala have won just one of 11 matches since last September, but they're still our pick to take all three points.

The Blue & Whites secured a creditable draw with Mexico last time out, having previously lost (but scored) against Trinidad & Tobago.

Cuba, meanwhile, were thrashed 6-0 by the Mexicans, before consolidating that result with a 2-0 defeat to T&T.

In the last two years, eight of the Lions' 10 losses have been by margins of at least two goals. Needing to win to progress, the Cubans' defence should be as porous as ever for Guatemala.
