Football Bet of the Day: Defences to flounder in Poland

Lille were held to a 1-1 draw by Reims in France's Ligue 1 yesterday. They've let themselves down, but they've also let Kev down. We hope they spend this next week thinking about that and how they might do better by him in the future. After a double shift, Kev at least has two full weeks to plot his next move.

Our own double shift begins in Poland, where the final game of the Ekstraklasa's 18th round of matches takes Cracovia Krakow to Arka Gdynia. The visitors are 13th, but would move up a couple of places with a win. Hosts Arka, who are ninth, would go up one place if they took all three points.

The Herrings are an unremarkable W3-D2-L2 on home turf this season. It's their defence that's let them down: while they've scored almost two goals a game at GOSiR Stadium (13 in 7); they've conceded 10 times, notching just a single clean sheet.

Despite their lowly position in the table, we fancy Cracovia can take advantage of their hosts' generosity. The Stripes are only W1-D2-L5 on the road this term, but they have scored in 6/8 and that's enough for us to believe they can deliver a Both Teams to Score bet tonight.
