West Indies v England Second T20 team news

Andre Russell rolled back the years in game one with a man of the match performance to ensure the Windies went 1-0 up. Russell is targeting the World Cup next year and if he continues to perform with bat and ball the hosts will have a good tournament.

The inclusion of Alzarri Joseph gave them much-needed pace in the bowling department but they are a side which has prioritised batting power. With Joseph at No 11 they bat all the way down. Matthew Forde may consider himself unlucky to miss out.

Probable XI: King, Mayers, Pooran, Hope, Powell, Hetmyer, Russell, Shepherd, Holder, Akeal, Joseph

England are likely to make changes after another white-ball defeat. It's six losses in the last eight in this format.

Pricey Tymal Mills could come out to be replaced by Reece Topley or Gus Atkinson. Both could potentially play as they seek a point of difference against this West Indies line-up.

Rehan Ahmed took three wickets in Bridgetown but was expensive. It would probably be harsh to drop him

Possible XI: Buttler, Salt, Jacks, Duckett, Brook, Livingstone, S Curran, Woakes, Rehan, Rashid, Topley/Atkinson

West Indies v England Second T20 pitch report

There have been only six T20 played at the National Stadium in Grenada since 2020. Runscoring looks on the cards from a short study sample, though. More than 160 in first-innings was busted in each of them.

The hosts failed to chase Ireland's 208 by four in 2020. Five of the games have been won by the team batting first. The par line for 20 overs looks like to be late-170s and that could be a straightforward buy. No rain is forecast.

West Indies v England Second T20 match odds

West Indies are 2.1011/10 with England 1.8910/11. That's a bit closer than before game one but we still have it down as a choice affair.

Once again we ask: where is the evidence of a gulf between these two sides? With their franchise specialists back and available, West Indies look a strong unit.

It could be smart to keep that toss bias onside. We're pretty sure that whoever bats first will be short favourites at the break. That opens up the chance for an easy trade on Windies.

West Indies v England Second T20 player bets

Jos Buttler has been boosted to 10/34.33 for top England bat. He looked in decent touch for the first time in a long time in Bridgetown. We know he will be aggressive.

West Indies, too, will have a crack but there are prices lower down which catch the eye because the speed at which some of these hitters can catch up. Rovman Powell at 9/110.00 and Russell a the same price have appeal. Look out, too, for Romario Shepherd at 22/123.00.
