Trent Rockets v Manchester Originals team news
Rockets need to start putting back-to-back wins together if they are going to make the play-off. Success against Fire last time snapped a two-game losing streak.
They seem unsure of their balance and best XI. Joe Root was moved up to No 3 against Fire and Samit Patel returned. As we've said, this lot know their roles and Root's inclusion has caused upheaval.
Probable XI: Hales, Malan, Root, Kohler-Cadmore, Patel, Sams, Gregory, Sodhi, L Wood, J Turner
Originals have two wins and two losses - an identical record to Rockets. But an inferior run rate means they are under more pressure.
Before a heavy beating against Oval they looked a decent side. They got back on track with a strong performance against Superchargers posting 182.
They have lost Usama Mir to Asia Cup duty, though. That could free up space to bring back batter Max Holden.
Possible XI: Salt, Buttler, Evans, Holden, Walter, Turner, Overton, Hartley, Raine, Little, Tongue
Trent Rockets v Manchester Originals pitch report
Just three from nine of the first-innings in this format at Trent Bridge have breached 145. Five matches have been won by the chaser. Originals are fast-scoring, however, and could threaten that mid 140s par line.
Trent Rockets v Manchester Originals match odds
Rockets are 1.875/6 favourites with Originals 2.1211/10. We've been stung before in this tournament with Rockets at odds-on so we won't be playing them.
Originals have the ability to flip the odds if batting first. If they can get their hitters into the game there's a solid chance they post something threatening.
Jamie Overton top-scored last time and it should embolden the top order that there is power to come. How they cope without Mir, though, will be interesting as it's a significant tactical change in the field. No rain is forecast
Trent Rockets v Manchester Originals player bets
Jos Buttler and Alex Hales have been boosted to 11/43.75 and 7/24.50 respectively for top team bat with Sportsbook. There are some big prices on top Rockets bowler. John Turner and Daniel Sams were on death duty last time so they should be shorter than 9/25.50 and 4/15.00. Sams got the win against Fire.
