Northern Superchargers v Oval Invincibles team news

Superchargers have arguably produced the two most eyecatching performances this season. Last time out they held their nerve defending against the champions, Trent Rockets, and prior to that they smashed 201 versus the Brave. Wayne Parnell and Reece Topley were architects of the former win.

They could do with Ben Stokes for the play-offs if they are to win the title. Unless Adam Hose or Saif Zaib have performed in the middle order.

Probable XI: Banton, Short, Brook, Hose, Zaib, Carse, Wiese, Parnell, Rashid, Topley, C Parkinson

Invincibles dished out a 94-run beating to Manchester Originals thanks to power-laden performances from a batter and bowlers alike. Heinrich Klaasen smashed 60 in one of the best displays of hitting and then Gus Atkinson and Spencer Johnson roared in.

Atkinson was clocked at 95mph while Johnson took three for one off his 20 balls. Shame they lose the latter from around August 21 for Australia duty. Tom Curran has a niggle and has been replaced by batter Ross Whiteley.

Probable XI: Roy, Jacks, Klaasen, S Curran, Billings, Cox, Whiteley, Narine, Sowter, Atkinson, Johnson

Northern Superchargers v Oval Invincibles pitch report

The Headingley track is renowed for being a batter's paradise but it's still only busted 14.5 four times in eight first-innings. More than 200 has been breached twice, however and there have been rapid chases. We're likely to have to pay more than 155 on the par line one suspects.

Northern Superchargers v Oval Invincibles match odds

These are the only two unbeaten sides left in the tournament. Pre-season we advised a trade on Invincibles at 8.4015/2. They are now favourites at 4.507/2. The lay back at 5.14/1 now makes sense for 50% extra on the original stake.

Superchargers are probably underrated at 2.1411/10. We expected them to be favourites for this one after the Rockets success. Batting first we at least expect them to flip the odds into short favourites.

There are some mistakes on top-bat pricing. Klaasen should be shorter than 9/25.50. He batted at No 3 against Originals and it was as good as confirmed that he bats there going forward. For Superchargers, surely Brydon Carse is not a 45/146.00 chance given that he's batted at No 6?
