London Spirit v Southern Brave team news

Spirit are bolstered by Zak Crawley's availability. Ashes players have returned with Harry Brook, Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali all making appearances. Crawley was in the XI which was saved by rain from a beating at the hands of Originals.

It does mean that Daryl Mitchell is in a finisher slot and he may have to make up sixth bowler duties with Ravi Bopara. There's no room for Mason Crane. Matthew Wade looks a spot too high, too as a finisher.

Probable XI: Crawley, Rossington, Lawrence, Wade, Mitchell, Bopara, Critchley, Thompson, Dawson, Ellis, Worrall

Brave have lost two from three and were on the receiving end of a shellacking against Superchagers last time out. They conceded a massive 201 and pre-season fears that they would struggle are being realised.

They have lost Chris Jordan to a calf niggle. The England all-rounder beat Fire single-handedly to make the picture look rosier than it is. They have also been told that Tim David will definitely miss at least the last league game and the play-offs for Australia duty.

Probable XI: Conway, Allen, Vince, Du Plooy, David, Weatherley, Garton, Ahmed, Fuller, C Overton, Mills

London Spirit v Southern Brave pitch report

Lord's has been stodgy for batters with four from 11 first-innings producing scores of 150 or more. There could be cheap lays for under 135. There's a toss bias to keep an eye on with six won by the side defending. It should have been seven but Spirit failed to defend 15 off Nathan Ellis' final set.

London Spirit v Southern Brave match odds

This is a contest between two average teams. The match odds market agrees as it struggles to split the pair. Spirit are 2.0621/20 and Brave 1.981/1.

A cagey affair is to be expected and punters would be advised to look for the trends that can split them. The toss bias is not a bad way to start. Don't be put off playing in-play on a defender holding out with a below-par score.

London Spirit v Southern Brave player bets

Crawley has been boosted to 13/53.60 for top Spirit bat but there are massive numbers on both team markets which have greater appeal. Liam Dawson is not a 100/1101.00 player for Spirit.

Likewise Rehan Ahmed for Brave. We've backed him twice at big numbers on the basis that he has batted up the order previously. WIth Brave hardly pulling up trees he should get a chance soon.

With the ball, Jordan Thompson has been on death duty so the 5/16.00 he takes most wickets for Spirit is solid.
