London Spirit v Northern Superchargers team news
Spirit's challenge is as good as done. They need to win their remaining games by big margins to stand any chance of the play-offs. They lost by two runs to Invincibles last time out.
Ravi Bopara missed out and Jordan Thompson appears to be injured. There has been no Mark Wood and he looks unlikely to feature at all. Their overseas batters - Matthew Wade and Daryl Mitchell - have not been good enough.
Probable XI: Crawley, Rossington, Pepper, Lawrence, Wade, Mitchell, Critchley, Dawson, C Wood, Ellis, Worrall
Superchargers are bang in the race to finish in the top three. They can go third with success here. But they need to reverse a two-game losing streak.
They conceded a massive score against Originals last time and appear to be more comfortable setting their batters loose first up.
Presumably with Ben Stokes reversing his ODI retirement there should be no reason why he can't play? That doesn't mean he will though.
Possible XI: Banton, Short, Brook, Hose, Zaib/Stokes, Wiese, Carse, Parnell, Rashid, Parkinson, Topley.
London Spirit v Northern Superchargers pitch report
Lord's has been stodgy for batters with five from 12 first-innings producing scores of 150 or more. There's a toss bias to keep an eye on with seven won by the side defending. Still, Spirit smashed 195 to down Rockets last time out. Overcast conditions could encourage the bowlers and the par line has the feel of a short.
London Spirit v Northern Superchargers match odds
The market is struggling to split these two. Spirit are 2.021/1 with Superchargers 1.9620/21.
Superchargers are value. But with a caveat. We'd like them to bat first. Their two wins have come when they have defended and that suits the toss bias, too.
The one concern is rain potentially shortening the second innings but a bet's a bet. Spirit are there for the taking.
London Spirit v Northern Superchargers player bets
Harry Brook and Zak Crawley have been boosted to 16/54.20 and 10/34.33 respectively with Sportsbook for top team bat. With Mark Wood installed as 3/13.95 favourite for top bowler for Spirit, Nathan Ellis could be value at 10/34.33 given we don't expect the former to play.
