Durban Super Giants v Joburg Super Kings team news
Durban are two from two with their batting power looking ominous. They thrashed 225 against the champions, Sunrisers. Their top five is the strongest in the tournament although Nic Pooran's involvement will be shortlived because of the ILT20.
Probable XI: De Kock, Breetzke, Smuts, Pooran, Klaasen, Mulder, Paul, D Pretorius, Maharaj, Topley, Gleeson
Super Kings took a super beating against Cape Town, conceding 245. It would appear they need Gerald Coetzee fit and firing as quickly as possible. It's a bit of a surprise there's no David Wiese or Aaron Phangiso yet so we await fitness news on them.
Probable XI: Du Plessis, Hendricks, R Hermann, Du Plooy, Moeen, Ferreira, SHepherd, Williams, Burger, Zahir, Tahi
Durban Super Giants v Joburg Super Kings pitch report
Four of the last seven saw 190 or more busted in the first-innings at Kingsmead. Cape Town whacked 207 in the first game this season. With Durban's bowling reassuringly expensive again, we're looking to play on runs. Overs around 188.5 on the 20-over line is a chance. Forecast rain has the potential to frustrate, though, and we'll keep stakes sensible in case it aids swing.
Durban are 1.768/11 with the market yet to mature. But we are expecting Super Kings to drift to arround 2.206/5 pre-toss.
And the flip is key on this flat one. The side batting first should be 1.654/6 at least at the break. There's obviosuly more room in the Joburg price for a trade.
We're not convinced by Durban's bowling so they're not the worst to take on defending.
Heinrich Klaasen is Mr Reliable on the top Durban bat market but 16/54.20 about a guy who batted at No 5 last time? No thanks. Wiaan Mulder has the potential to bat at No 3 in this team so 17/29.50 has appeal on that basis. For Joburg, Leus Du Plooy won for us last time so we may turn out attention to the hard-hitting Donovan Ferreira at 10/111.00.
