Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators team news
Zalmi shocked Multan last time out but they can tweak their XI to make them even stronger. Tom Kohler-Cadmore is having a grim time with no score higher than 18 and a disastrous strike rate of 84. Mohammad Haris could come back in or Paul Walter.
Possible XI: Ayub, Babar, Haseebullah, Walter, Powell, Asif, Jamal, L Wood, Naveen, Mumtaz, Irshad
Quetta have been dealt a blow with offspinner Usman Tariq reported for a suspect action. Tariq can still play but it would be a surprise if they didn't take him out of the limelight. Usman Qadir could come in. Quetta's fast start has slowed and they have problems in the middle-order with Rilee Rossouw and Sarfaraz making the game look hard.
Probable XI: Roy, Shakeel, Nafay, Rossouw, Sarfaraz, Rutherford, Akeal, Amir, Hasnain, Ahmed, Qadir
Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators pitch report
The Rawalpindi runfest just hasn't materialised. Kings could post only 150 after scores of 162 and 188 in the previous matches. There have been 17 PSL matches played at the venue. Five of them saw both teams notch 200 and three recorded both teams hitting 220. Sportsbook go 33/134.00. If we play we may halve stakes. More straightforward is a cheaper buy of runs on a plummeting par line.
Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators match odds
Zalmi are 1.824/5 jollies with Quetta 2.186/5. It is hard to argue with that. There's a big ability-gap in terms of runscoring in the middle-order between these teams.
And, as discussed in the team news, Zalmi have the option to give their batting a boost. Quetta have to keep playing their skip and Sarfaraz, their ambassador player.
If there are runs in the surface this time, we would be keen to get with Zalmi in a chase from 1.804/5 up to 3.505/2.
Babar has been boosted to 13/53.60 with Sportsbook. but there are other options. Rovman Powell, for example, might get a chance to bat higher at 7/18.00 if Kohler-Cadmore is dropped. Walter has batted at No 4 and is 10/111.00. For Quetta, Jason Roy has been upped to 16/54.20. Given our concerns about a lack of runs from two senior players, it would be remiss not to point out that Sherfane Rutherford looks overpriced at 17/29.50. He's a having a solid tournament.
