Karachi Kings v Hyderabad Kingsmen PSL Tips

Karachi Kings suffered a horrible beating against Peshawar Zalmi to hurt their play-off aspirations and, more importantly, dent confidence. They conceded a massive 246 on a pitch which had been previously been tricky. Indeed, when it was their turn to bat it looked a minefield as they crumbled to 87 all out.

What made matters worse that David Warner, their skipper, at the toss had spoken of the surface being extremely dry and not one for big runs. Warner perhaps was suffering from a hangover from his drink-driving charge in Sydney.

Warner was knocked over for a golden duck and Kings, who lost Hasan Ali to illness, never recovered. Hasan is probably their beating heart and sets the tone. He was sorely missed in the field with his expertise at the death priceless. His overs at the end of an innings have cost just 4.8. That death work means the 11.452/5 about top Kings bowler makes a lot of sense. It's the top-rated bet for the contest.

Hasan absolutely has to come back into the XI if Kings are to be considered a bet against Kingsmen. They are too short otherwise. Kingsmen, without a win all season, may fancy their chances at 2.3811/8.

They are a poor team but an upset is not out of the question. They are beginning to show signs that they can stick in games and if Kings are minus Hasan they could be worth the risk.

Hyderabad Kingsmen v Islamabad United PSL Tips

Islamabad United are beginning to motor in PSL with three straight wins. They are likely to go off at the sort of price which suggests they are a crack T20 unit. It would be a surprise if they were bigger than 1.705/7, and that's regardless of what happens in the first of Hyderabad's double header this weekend.

United are looking strong thanks to solid balance and it may turn out they are the best team in it. Although Multan top the table, few have been convinced they are anything more than a blitzing team with the bat. A bit more nuance is required. And United have that in spades.

They boast the three best all-rounders in the competition in Shadad Khan, Imad Wasim and Faheem Ashraf. Indeed, we are still waiting for two solid trends to cop. Shadad for top United bat and Imad top bowler respectively. They are now well overdue a win. We will check on those prices when available post Kings-Hyderabad.

As stated Hyderabad have shown signs of improvement. They might not be the worst option to consider for a trade if batting first. They at least have the potential at the top of the order to be dangerous with Saim Ayub and Maaz Sadaqat both gun hitters.
