Lucknow Super Giants v Kolkata Knight Riders team news
Lucknow are likely to be without Mayank Yadav again after the pacer pulled up with the same injury against Mumbai. Yash Thakur could come back in. Quinton de Kock has been dropped for Ashton Turner.
Probable XI: Rahul, Kulkarni/Thakur (subs), Stoinis, Hooda, Pooran, Badoni, Turner, Krunal, Bishnoi, Naveen, Mohsin
KKR could have both Ranas available. Harshit has served a one-game ban while batter Nitish has been back in training. There may not be room for the latter, though, following Venkatesh Iyer's man of the match effort in the win over Mumbai.
Probable XI: Salt, Narine, Raghuvanshi/Suyash (subs), Shreyas, Venkatesh, Rinku, Russell, Ramandeep, Harshit, Starc, Arora, Varun
Lucknow Super Giants v Kolkata Knight Riders pitch report
Mumbai's 144 against Lucknow last time was more like the surface we expect. It looked a little slow and tacky. The hosts needed to go to the last over to get the chase won. This is reflected in the par line, though, which is unders 175.5.
Kolkata have put in two strong bowling efforts against Delhi and Mumbai to suggest they're not one-trick ponies after all. But whether that justifies favourite status at 1.865/6 is doubtful.
There has been no more underrated side in this tournament than Lucknow. They are solid and efficient at winning games. It's at best a choice affair and Lucknow are obvious value at 2.1211/10 particularly if the KKR batters can't hit through the line with confidence.
And yet there could well be drift in that Lucknow price. Why wouldn't there be? The markets - from match odds to outright - have little faith so any semblance of a show from KKR and the away price will collapse.
We're very happy to bet Lucknow in the KKR powerplay as they should overinflate. And then they have an opportunity to squeeze.
Lucknow Super Giants v Kolkata Knight Riders player bets
On a slower wicket we will keep faith with Andre Russell who is well overdue on win rate after a solitary success this season. Sportsbook go 6/17.00 about top KKR bat. Turner is a solid option at 11/112.00 if we're right about the track. We may be in 30-40 wins-it territory.
