Oval Invincibles v London Spirit team news
Oval are top of the table and were our pre-season back-to-lay on the outright with the lay option advised already. It was in the nick of time as they lost to Phoenix and are now in player churn. Sunil Narine has left for the Caribbean Premier League and Jordan Cox, the leading runscorer in the tournament, has been ruled out for the remainder with a broken finger.
Adam Zampa should be available while Oval are also hoping for good news on injured pair Tom Curran and Gus Atkinson.
Probable XI: Roy, Jacks, Klaasen, S Curran, Whiteley, Billings, T Curran, Atkinson, Zampa, Johnson/Sowter, Chappell
London Spirit beat Rockets last time in a surprise. They were indebted to Dan Lawrence's blistering hitting. One suspects they are a team who will very much rely on individual brilliance to make them competitive.
Jordan Thompson, the all-rounder, missed out in that game and his batting and death bowling skills are likely to be missed. It is not clear whether he is injured.
Probable XI: Crawley, Rossington, Lawrence, Wade, Mitchell, Bopara, Critchley, Dawson, Eillis, Worrall, Wood
Oval Invincibles v London Spirit pitch report
A par line short at 145.5 in all editions at The Oval would have been a winner six times in the 11 first-innings. The hosts have made it look a flat one though against Originals when they posted 186. We have doubts about Spirit's batting prowess in this one and would be happy to go unders on something similar.
Oval Invincibles v London Spirit match odds
Oval are 1.768/11 for this one. On form it is hard to argue that those odds are wrong.
It may not be wise, either, to reckon player rotation impinges their chances. Zampa is a superb replacement and Cox's absence surely means that Heinrich Klaasen comes in first down making carnage just as likely.
Spirit are 2.285/4 and it is a difficult process whether they bat first or second.
Oval Invincibles v London Spirit player bets
Jason Roy and Zak Crawley are boosted to 3/13.95 and 16/54.20 respectively for top team bat. We're not convinced Roy's the player he was. With Cox out for Oval, Klaasen has appeal at 7/24.40. Likewise Sam Curran at 7/17.80 considering he could bat at No 4. The 9/25.30 that Thompson is top Spirit bowler is a bet because he should bowl at the death.
