Lahore Qalandars v Karachi Kings
Sunday 12 March, 14:00
TV: Live on Sky Sports
Team news
Lahore don't need to win this game as they will finish top of the table regardless. They could rest players if they wish but it's always a gamble to start mucking about with rhythm at this stage of a campaign. Kamran Ghulam has replaced opener Mirza Baig.
Probable XI: Shafique, Fakhar, Ghulam, Billings, Talata, Raza, Wiese, Afridi, Rashid, Rauf, Zaman
Kingss haven't played for almost a week which has given evryone the eagerly-accepted opportunity to forget how bad they are. They've won twice all season. They don't really know what they're doing, hence only Matthew Wade, Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik the only ever-presents.
Possible XI: Wade, Rossington, Tahir, Qasim, Shoaib Malik, Imad, Fuller, Aamer Yamin, Akif, Shamsi, Amir
Pitch report
The Gaddafi Stadium isn't as flat as Rawalpindi, although the four scores so far have seen 200 busted once and 180 or more once. It is a bat-first venue. Go hard in the first dig and scoreboard pressure should do the rest. Lahore for runs is the best ploy. They average 9.2 runs with the bat with Kinhgs conceding an average of 8.6. More than 180 should be the minimum but this could fall in the no-mans land on the par line.
Lahore are 1.645/8 with Kings 2.526/4. If Lahore's effort against Zalmi is anything to go by (when they copuldn;t be bothered) there will be plenty of flips in the market.
That means Kings batting first could well go favs. That offers a reasonable trade option but otherwise it's not a market to go nuts for.
Tops value
Fakhar Zaman, man of the match and centurion last time out versus Islamabad, has been boosted to 5/2 for top Lahore bat. Wade has been upped to 10/3 for top Kings. Wade has 88 runs off 56 balls against this attack.
