Rehan at 12/1 catches the eye
Gulf Giants v Mumbai Emirates
Wednesday 1 Fenruary, 14:00
TV: Live on BT Sports
Team news
Giants haven't played for eight matches. Perhaps the break came at a bad time. A washout versus Knight Riders (a gimme) denied them the chance to get back to winning ways after a poor effort against Sharjah.
Possible XI: Rehan, Vince, Lynn, Banton, Khan, Hetmyer, Wiese, Dawson, Jordan, Sharma, Gleeson
The Emirates laid down a marker with a 157-run sucess over Desert Vipers last time. It was the most stunning result of the tournament. The funny thing is their XI really isn't much to write home about but there's obviously something in the water.
Probable XI: Fletcher, Waseem, Pooran, Zadran, Mousley, Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Boult, Tahir, Farooqi, Zahoor
Pitch report
There have been three scores of 200 or more in the seven games at Abu Dhabi so far. With that record there will be a rush on Emirates for big runs if they bat first considering they amassed 247 against Vipers. Do be aware that Giants are a crack bowling team, though, and if they nip a couple out early the Emirates tail is long.
How to play
Giants are 2.0811/10 with Emirates 1.8910/11. We will keep the historic toss bias on side for this one, betting the side that bats second at the starting prices. There's not much to choose between the two considering Emirates' recent surge. We remain confident, however, that Giants were a solid outright wager.
Tops value
James Vince is 13/5 for top Giants bat but it's his opening partner, Rehan Ahmed, who catches the eye at 12/1 with Sportsbook. Ability-wise it's not a wager but it's clearly a wrong price on line-up. Likewise Najibullah Zadran for MIE who could bat anywhere from No 4 to 6 at 10/1.
