Team news

Tim David batted at No 3 for Kings in their victory over Patriots last time out. But top-bat bettors should be calm. He came in for the ninth over to make use of a platform already built in quick time.

Possible XI: Charles, Du Plessis, Dickwella, Primus, Chase, David, Wiese, Joseph, Forde, Edward, Williams

Patriots won last time out versus Jamaica. Rashid Khan has made a big difference with the ball. Dewald Brevis, having a torrid time, wasn't trusted in a small chase and it may be time for him to be dropped with Keacy Carty on the sidelines.

Possible XI: Fletcher, Lewis, Carty, Darren Bravo, Rutherford, Pretorius, Rashid, D Jansen, Cottrell, Akila, Carmichael

Pitch report

In 36 T20 matches at Tarouba the average score is just 140. From 23 matches in the 2020 tournament the par score was lower at 135. Going under 150 in the first dig was a winner 14 times. With a batting run rate of 7.4, the Patriots would be our pick to bat first so we can short with confidence.

Do be aware, though, that Kings are conceding, on average, a shade more than eight an over. We may be able to go under 160 Pats runs at 2.1011/10. No rain is forecast.

How to play

The two sides met on Sunday with Kings winning by 61 runs. They set Patriots 162 and then bowled them out for 100. That result boosts the bet chance discussed above. We're not entirely sure why Kings are outsiders at 2.001/1. If the market holds they should go off close to 2.166/5. Bet the match odds here.

Tops value

Faf Du Plessis top scored for Kings in the previous head-to-head. Evin Lewis did the same for his team with a measly 24. The pair are 3/1 and 11/4 respectively with Sportsbook. Carty looks big at 7s if we're right about him playing.

Roshon Primus has batted as high as No 6 for Kings and is 17s. Tim David is 9s. Bet the market here.
