Barbados Royals v Jamaica Tallawahs team news
Royals were rolled by Trinbago on Thursday. They suffered the double ignominy of allow Martin Guptill to score a T20 hundred and then being bowled out for 61. They have added Carlos Brathwaite to the squad as a short-term replacement for Donovan Ferreira who is with South Africa.
Probable XI: Cornwal, Mayers, Evans Athanaze, Powell, Holder, Wickham, Nyeem, van der Merwe, Qais, McCoy
Tallawahs were well beaten by Guyana last time out after conceding 210. Presumably Alex Hales should now be available to give them a boost. He could replace Hayden Walsh who only got one over against Guyana.
Possible XI: King, Hales, McKenzie, Brooks, Jangoo, Reifer, Imad, Allen, Green, Amir, Irshad
Barbados Royals v Jamaica Tallawahs pitch report
The 194 posted by Trinbago confirmed suspicions that Bridgetown is a good batting track. We're happy to play Jamaica for over 180, 190 and 200 at decent numbers, the latter close to 2/13.00.
Barbados Royals v Jamaica Tallawahs match odds
Although Royals were disappointing against Trinbago, we're not betting Jamaica at prohibitive odds of 1.625/8 without the toss in their favour. Batting first is key here.
For that reason there's the possibility of a trade on that Royals price. They can put things right for 20 overs at least on a flat one and trade at even money from 2.486/4 or shorter. We do think Tallawahs have a great chance in a chase and if Royals bat first this could well be a topsy-turvy affair.
Barbados Royals v Jamaica Tallawahs player bets
Hales is given a 3/14.00 quote for top Jamaica bat but Brandon King's boosting to 23/103.30 will be all the rage with Sportsbook. For Royals, Laurie Evans is now the correct price at 7/24.50. We note Alick Athanaze at 11/26.50 as a possible interest.
