Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are up and running following an opening-day win over the new franchise, Jamaica Kingsmen. They have a great chance to make it two from two against a St Lucia Kings team who are taken to struggle.

Kings have been a competitive unit in CPL but their squad building leads a lot to be desired. They have failed to attract significant batting talent. And the one player who could make a huge difference, Tim Seifert, is likely to be delayed due to his role with Manchester Super Giants in The Hundred. Seifert was in action on Saturday so even if he was jetting straight in, his preparation would be far from ideal.

Charith Asalanka, the Sri Lankan, should be available but he would hardly be classed as an elite T20 hitter. The likes of Jewel Andrew and Ackeem Auguste, domestic picks, are going to have to improve their numbers significantly to keep pace with others. It's a far cry from when Kings were all about batting power.

On a Kingstown pitch which could be sticky with traffic beginning to build after two games, batting might not be easy. Falcons have benefited from a look already and their bowling attack has the nous and variation to take the points.

Falcons are the right favourites at 4/51.80 with the Betfair Sportsbook, a price that is matched on the Betfair Exchange at 1.784/5. In-play we would be looking for a bet on Falcons from 1.834/5. It would take almost nothing for that to be available so clicking 'in play' and placing an order makes sense.

Barbados finished bottom last season. An opener against Jamaica, who are likely to find it tricky to settle in their first season, gives them the chance to put last year's disappointment behind them.

There are challenges, though. Sherfane Rutherford, their key middle-order hitter, is still with MI London in The Hundred. He has had a poor campaign but instead caught the eye with helmet- and bat-throwing exploits in his team's defeat by Trent Rockets.

Five of their overseas players should be available. They will need to trim Quinton de Kock, Mujeeb ur Rahman, George Linde, Chris Green and Daniel Sams into four spots. Mujeeb and Linde may be battling for the one spot. Brandon King, the opener, is an injury doubt.

Kingsmen lost their first game to Falcons. They batted first and were impressive in posting 167 with Reza Hendricks and Rovman Powell scoring well. They fought hard to defend with only a surprise innings from Tajinder Singh the difference, although a last-ball fumble from Powell to allow two made for a dramatic finish. Keemo Paul and Andre Russell were in the wickets with spin and pace off.

That's a clue as to how this Arnos Vale pitch could go. It should get harder to bat in with more matches played. That should be the focus of our betting. The Betfair Sportsbook offer under 176.5 first-innings runs. That is an extremely high line. In all 14 completed matches at this venue, going under at that quote would have won 13 times.
