Sydney Sixers v Adelaide Strikers Team news

Sixers look likely to be without Sean Abbott, Hayden Kerr and Tom Curran. Abbott and Kerr are struggling with fitness while Curran has a four-match suspension for intimidating an umnpire. Sixers are appealing.

Probable XI: Philippe, Vince, Hughes, Henriques, Silk, Edwards, Dwarshius, Murphy, O'Keefe, Izharulhaq

Strikers got a win over Thunder in an impressive chase thanks to two strong hits from the Shorts - Matt and D'Arcy. Adam Hose also produced a brilliant cameo at the death when the pressure was on. We expect an unchanged XI.

Possible XI: D Short, M Short, Lynn, Weatherald, Hose, Overton, Bazley, Neilsen, W Agar, Payne, Boyce

Sydney Sixers v Adelaide Strikers pitch report

At the SCG only ten from the last 22 in all T20 have busted 160 in the first-innings. So beware of that par line which will be mimimun mid-160s for a buy. With one tie in that sequence there's a small advantage to batting first with 13 wins.

Sydney Sixers v Adelaide Strikers match odds

Sixers are surprisingly big at 1.774/5 but the match odds market appears to be reacting to the absence of a Sixers fulcrum. They do lack balance if they are missing one of those three all-rounders.

Strikers are taken to struggle. They have suffered significantly without Rashid Khan in the past and this is a huge test even though confidence will be up. We suspect that Sixers remain a generous price as they are used to covering gaps.

Adelaide have lost their last three at the SCG and although a head-to-head isn't the be-all and end-all, it is rare that Sixers are not sub 1.705/7 for a home game..

Sydney Sixers v Adelaide Strikers player bets

Hose looked like he can boss this tournament and with the batting surge in his favour, a price of 13/27.50 is the sort that we could be getting on board with consistently. Sixers' Moises Henriques might be considered value for the same reason at 5/16.00 but, to be fair, we've seen much bigger about him in the past.
