Abu Dhabi Knight Riders v MI Emirates best bets
Knight Riders produced a stunning upset in terms of the formbook by thumping Desert Vipers, the runners-up, in their first game. The match odds market didn't agree but it was some turnaround for a team which suffered in bottom spot last term.
It has to be said, though, that they were beneficiaries of the toss bias for the chaser in Dubai and they will likely need it on their side again if they are to cop at a probale 2.206/5. On an early show Emirates are 1.748/11.
Any drift for Emirates in-play if they bowl first to the 1.855/6 region is a bet and that is a strategy we will rigorously employ.
We will play the top bats again. Andre Russell is a go-to option all over the world and we know he has a better win rate than the 5/16.00 offered in this competition.

MI Cape Town v Durban Super Giants best bets
This is a cracking clash at Newlands. Cape Town are 1.814/5 favourites with Durban expected to settle at the 2.1011/10 mark.
Cape Town are searching for consistency and a win here would put them in a strong position for the play-offs. Durban, after three straight wins, have lost two on the spin as their bowling group has, predictably, come under pressure.
Cape Town may have the edge. Durban were undone by the spin of Simon Harmer against Sunrisers so if Cape Town were to pair George Linde and Thomas Kaber again, they could be in business.
On the top-bat markets we are a little sore Kieron Pollard didn't do the business in defeat by Paarl on a tacky Boland park Surface. We said 30 or 40 could win it and we were right. Alas Pollard didn't make an impression on the scoreboard.
On flatter, truer surfaces it is a worry that he will have too much work to do even though the 10/111.00 is a little toppy.
Consecutive failures for Heinrich Klaasen mean we are prepared to show faith again at 3/14.00. His win rate is bonkers and he can make up any deficit quickly from a hoped-for No 4 slot.
