MI Emirates v Dubai Capitals team news

Emirates resemble a West Indies select XI with Fletcher, Pooran, Dwayne Bravo, Pollard and Akeal. They thumped Giants in the qualifier and after landing top spot in the ladder it is hard to argue that they are not the best team in this. Opener Kusal Perera will most likely sub in or out for Blessing Muzarabani.

Possible XI: Waseem, Kusal (Muzarabani), Fletcher, Pooran, Bravo, Pollard, David, Akeal, Boult, Rohid, Salamkheil

Dubai Capitals have a feature on their social media called 'guess the XI'. They take it seriously. Few had any clue that Rovman Powell and Jason Holder had returned to the XI. Tom Banton and Zahir Khan are the batter and bowler respectively for sub duty. Leus Du Plooy's addition makes their batting look more than solid.

Possible XI: Banton (Zahir), Du Plooy, Abell, Billings, Powell, Raza, Kuggelijn, Holder, Chopra, Stone, Haider

MI Emirates v Dubai Capitals pitch report

Nine of the 12 matches played in Dubai have been won by the chaser. First-innings scores have busted 165 or more in six of them. It's possible that after such a weight of traffic on the strip chasing could get trickier so bear that in mind. Playing unders on the par line at 159.5 is an option. We would prefer, though, if it was Capitals to short because Emirates had an economy of 7.2 in the group.

MI Emirates v Dubai Capitals match odds

MI Emirates are 1.758/11 with Dubai Capitals 2.226/5. That's about what we would expect to see at this stage.

It could be argued that Emirates should have been shorter because Capitals qualified in fourth and if they are to win the title it will be their fifth-straight win. Are they that good?

Maybe not. That's why we'll keep the toss bias on our side with Emirates and look for a cheeky 1.855/6 in play. DC won the two head-to-heads so it is time for revenge.

MI Emirates v Dubai Capitals player bets

We await Sportsbook prices for players to follow. But Muhammad Waseem for Emirates oculd be underrated if we get around the 10/34.33 mark for top bat. In his favour is the probability that opening partner Kusal won't count in the market if they chase because he will be subbed in. Remember players must be in the starting XI to count. Waseem won in the first head-to-head.

Similarly, tom banton comes in for the chase so that opens up the market. Sikandar Raza has been a machine and holds the green belt so anything around 6/17.00 will be tempting. raza won the man of the match award in the first meeting.
