Tony McFadden

About

Three years of a punishing, intensive, four-hours-per-week history degree at the University of Leicester paid dividends for London-born Tony, who completed his gradual move up north when he landed a job at Timeform in Halifax.

Unashamedly ruled by his pocket, Tony’s favourite moment in racing came when Cinders And Ashes stormed to victory in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the 2012 Cheltenham Festival, securing the first leg of a potentially lucrative ante-post double. This was quickly followed by his least favourite moment in racing when, the following day, First Lieutenant could manage only second in the RSA Chase, which led to him having to repeatedly deal with the most infuriating question known to man: “you backed it each-way though, didn’t you?”.
