Timeform rate the runners in a tough-looking hurdle at Exeter today.
Seven are declared for this tricky-looking contest; the second race on Exeter's card.
Snow Patrol: Fair hurdler for Philip Hobbs in 2007/8, running best race when falling heavily in good handicap won by Pocket Too at Chepstow in February. That appeared to leave its mark as two wayward displays followed; tongue tied for first time on reappearance and not hard to look elsewhere for trainer not often among the winners.
Supreme Cara: Fair hurdler on balance though temperament appeared to be getting better of her over fences towards end of last season. Left C.J. Down over the summer and probably best watched on her return; stable also represented with Master Wells.
Richard's Sundance: Temperament probably the underlining reason why he's still a maiden (ran out second start in bumpers) and burnt a few fingers when beaten favourite over course and distance on final start in 2007/8 campaign. Remains to be seen whether his jumping has improved in the meantime; percentage call is to oppose for all trainer has a good record with his runners when fresh.
Oscar Gogo: Bumper win at Kelso on debut for Howard Johnson remains his only victory but has run well on both completed starts for new connections, unable to quicken when behind Warsaw Pact at Chepstow on latest. Should appreciate ground and step up in trip and could give a good account.
Take A Mile: Took advantage of drop in weights and four-month break when ending losing run at Fontwell last time, overcoming mistakes at final two flights. Consistency never been his strong point though but should be capable of going close again off revised mark judged on fairly useful form he was capable of a couple of seasons back. Eye-catching jockey booking and one for the shortlist.
Master Wells: Just modest form to date over hurdles but has given impression his turn will come at some point; beaten just a nose by Advancement at Newton Abbot in June then travelling really well before falling 3 out in handicap at Exeter last month. Hopefully that experience hasn't left a mark as he's capable of going close in this company with conditions to suit.
Loulou Nivernais: Has struggled for form since a prolific campaign over fences for Brian Ellison in 2006/7 and remains best watched despite falling further down weights.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. Jim Tango is open to improvement over fences, and this looks to be Miss Pross' easiest task for some time, but the likeable Bamby gets the nod with conditions to suit back over fences....
